Key Ingredients We Trust

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

One of the most versatile and well-researched ingredients in modern skincare. Niacinamide works across multiple pathways: it strengthens the skin barrier by stimulating ceramide production, reduces the appearance of enlarged pores, regulates sebum production, and inhibits the transfer of melanin to skin cells — making it effective for both oily and hyperpigmented skin types. Clinical studies show visible improvement in skin texture and tone with consistent use at concentrations of 4–10%.

Peptides

Peptides are short chains of amino acids — the building blocks of proteins like collagen and elastin. When applied topically, certain peptides act as signaling molecules, communicating with skin cells to stimulate collagen production, improve firmness, and reduce the depth of expression lines. Unlike retinoids, peptides are generally well-tolerated by sensitive skin, making them an excellent option for those who cannot use stronger actives.

Ceramides

Ceramides are lipids that naturally occur in the skin's barrier. They account for approximately 50% of the lipid composition of the stratum corneum. As we age — and as a result of environmental damage — ceramide levels decline, leading to increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and compromised barrier function. Topical ceramide application has been clinically shown to restore barrier integrity, reduce sensitivity, and improve hydration retention.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)

AHAs — including glycolic acid (derived from sugarcane) and lactic acid (derived from milk) — are chemical exfoliants that work by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells, accelerating their shedding and revealing fresher, more radiant skin beneath. Glycolic acid, with the smallest molecular weight among AHAs, penetrates most effectively and is particularly useful for addressing fine lines and uneven texture. Lactic acid is gentler and also has humectant properties, making it suitable for drier or more sensitive skin types.

  • Does it contribute to the product's core skin benefit?
